Twenty Three is nothing, some would say. But try to write up even 10 lessons you learned, you will find that everything that comes to mind is somewhat relevant in your life at the moment. Here I wrote 23 things that might inspire some other youngsters out there to appreciate how much we already know and more importantly, how much we don’t know.

When you live with 3 guys and you think you are Jess, but in reality you are totally Winston.
  1. Move countries. Seriously. Do it. Even if it is for a couple of years, even if it is New Zealand to Australia kind of move. “It will be soul-smashingly beautiful. It will change your life”.
  2. Get into yoga. If you are a couch potato, lifting 1000kgs every Tuesday, “cardio-is-totally-my-thing” or too cool for school, yoga will open up your body and soul. Every time I leave the class, I feel like I literally become a better person.
  3. Talk about sex more.
  4. Just eat it. I know so many generally healthy peeps who punish themselves for even thinking about McFlurry at 10pm on a Monday. Fuck it, eat it.
  5. If mum tells you that you will be cold if you don’t wear a jacket. You will be cold.
  6. Learn a language. Dreaming in two (or more) languages is mind-blowing.
  7. Reach out. People out there are amazing and kind and wonderfully supportive. You will be surprised what can happen if you just reach out to someone whether you need help or you simply admire them.
  8. Use moisturiser. Everywhere. Ok not everywhere but you know, almost everywhere.
  9. Tell truth. First, to yourself. Then, to others. It is freeing and liberating.
  10. Go sky diving and wear long sleeves. Trust me.
  11. If you are in an abusive relationship (mentally or physically), get out. Take your time to contemplate, worry and stress and then get out. The morning I left my crazy ex was the best thing that happened to me that year. People are out there and will support the crap out of you, I promise. And if they won’t, I will.
  12. High heels are for stone-cold tough-hearted sassy queens out there. You stay comfy. Take care of your feet.
  13. Visit your gynaecologist or urologist at least once a year. Sexual health, if under looked, is going to fuck up your life.
  14. Surround yourself with people you admire. Not just someone who is ‘cool to hang with’. “You are the average of 5 people around you” rule applies. Every. Damn. Time.
  15. Read lots. Expand your vocabulary and your soul.
  16. Compliment at least one person a day. I started doing it when I was 13 and to this day, it is one of my favourite things to do.
  17. Volunteer. If not for someone else, do it for you. People are grateful creatures, they will make you feel better even if it was your job to make them feel good.
  18. Learn some science so you don’t become one of these crazy people who repost articles on anti-vaccination.
  19. Smile even if you don’t feel like smiling. Make someone else’s day better.
  20. Sit straight. Walk straight. Especially if you are not feeling confident. Act like the person you want to be and you will become one.
  21. Meals on the plane. Always pre-order meals on the plane (even if you think 4 hour flight isn’t that long).
  22. Celebrate everything. Every Monday is amazing. So is Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday.
  23. Learn to be happy with little. Gucci bags will never make you happy.
Mayooooooo ❤

If you could add one more here — watch New Girl (just to undestand where all my gifs come from or just to make your life 10000x more amazing!)
